Prompted
This body of work is based off of both classic fairy tales as well as stories I wrote myself.
I took the iconic objects that appear in classic fairy tales and then gave them alternative representation and caused destruction to them
I then researched short story writing prompts and wrote my own stories and then made images based on the written work.
Independent
This is a fashion and editorial based body of work. In film photography a popular thing to do is double exposure. Having a strong appreciation for film photography and a fascination with post production I wanted to carry those techniques into my digital work.
Working with property owners I scouted locations that were bold in colours and textures and had strong themes already embedded within them.

Colour of the Years
Every year a colour is assigned to be the "Colour of The Year". This decisions made by a group of people or company effects an entire industry for 365 days. Everything from clothing and footwear to home appliances gets pumped out in these colours. And once the year is up those items are immediately outdated.
I used this trend of colours and researched other trends that were dubbed "outdated" or "out-of-style" once each year was up from 2011-2017. I collected these items and painted them the Colour of the year that they were last considered to be in style. Thus not only being out of style because of the colour but now that they are painted they are rendered unusable.
